Usage: thymol is a food spice which is allowed to be used in the hygienic standard of food additives in China. It is mainly used for the preparation of cough syrup, peppermint, gum and spices. The amount used in chewing gum was 100mg/kg, 44mg/kg in cold drink, 2.5 to 1lmg/kg in soft drinks, 9.4mg/kg in candy, 5 to 6.5mg/kg in baked food.

Use: it is used to make spices, drugs and indicators. It is also used in skin mold and tinea.
